Like most commissions, this piece began with a back-and-forth design process between the client and me, going through several iterations until we arrived at this design. The client wanted a tea cabinet to house her collection of loose leaf teas and showcase a few handmade mugs. I suggested adding some drawers to organize tea bags, and was happy to include this beautiful repurposed Brazilian koa for the drawer fronts. Finished in Marigold Yellow milk paint.
