For months, this piece lived as an inspiration, sketched on a scrap of lined paper. When I finally set out to bring this coffee table to life, I began with a cardboard model, and then moved on to a full-sized mock up made from scrap materials. The lines, the dimensions, the wings all joined together to make a light and beautiful form. It wasn’t until the final piece was made in cherry, that it truly started to sing.

This piece is finished with Osmo, a non-toxic hard wax oil, which is very durable and has a lovely, satin warmth.
