When it comes to wood selection, all of the pieces in my furniture line are made with sustainably grown and harvested domestic hardwoods.
Sustainability permeates all aspects of my business as a furniture maker.

I got into this business to share the joy of handmade furniture, and to help customers say good-bye to factory made, particle board, dumpster-bound furniture. Of course we're all constrained by our means, but buying right once, does more for our bank account (and the environment!) than buying replacement after replacement.

Finishing, is also no after thought. All of the pieces in my furniture line are finished with a hand-rubbed non-toxic hard-wax oil. This surface treatment is easily reparable, and will also allow each heirloom furniture piece to develop a gorgeous patina of use over its life in your home.
When a piece needs a pop of color, I choose to use milk paint, a traditional paint made with the protein casein, found in milk. This finish is zero VOC and once again, allows the piece to develop a natural patina over the course of it's life, adding to the story of each heirloom piece.
