The Pilot Table.
The Pilot Table is an elegantly designed and solidly constructed trestle table; intended to seat a comfortable six or a cozy eight person dinner party. The Pilot Table name is a nod to the shape of the base, which has a silhouette reminiscent of pilot's wing pins.

Materials.
The pilot table is made from domestically grown American Cherry and finished with a non-toxic, hand rubbed hard wax oil which protects against daily spills, while still allowing the table to absorb the patina of life. The cherry will darken beautifully with age and the finish can be easily reapplied when the time comes.
A celebration of texture.
The underside of the pilot table tells the story of a handmade object. The tracks of a scrub plane (a handplane used to flatten the top) provide a delightful tactile contrast between the silky smooth top and the ripples underneath.
